Join us to learn about growing gourmet mushrooms at home. This class happens to be the day before Father's Day; this could be the perfect gift for that fun-gi in your life?
The first portion of the class will cover ways to grow your own edible and medicinal mushrooms with resources you have at home. Learn about the different types of mushroom cultivation, tree and media selection, mushroom types that are easily cultivated, spawn run, how and when to inoculate and force fruiting your log-based mushrooms. The second part of the class is hands on. Participants will be inoculating their own perennial shiitake mushroom log to take home.
Saturday, June 15, 9:30am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 3:30pm
