Kid's Club Workshop | What is Soil?
Description:
Get kids outside to play and into gardening at our Kid's Club Workshops!
Developed through the University of Minnesota Master Gardeners Program, our Kid's Club offers hands-on education to get kids engaged in gardening and develop lifelong skills, appreciation and respect for our natural world. All kids will receive a "2 Learn, Grow, Eat and Go" workbook plus a "Wildlife Gardener" book to use during the workshops. Workshops are held once a month April through October and are open to kids ages 4 through 12.
Lesson Two - April 27
In this week's workshop, kids will learn that soil is more than just "dirt" as they play in the soil, learn it's composition, what's alive inside it and plant a live plant to take home.
